Introduction to Lala
I know many people already know this, but there are still many of my friends who don't. Lala is a young humanoid alien from the cartoon series Blue Cat, a series that is mysterious for its being shown only in Mainland China, not even nearby places know of its existance. The fact that makes this incredible is that the cartoon itself is 3000 episodes long, THREE THOUSAND! While the worldwide famous Pokémon anime barely has 500! How China can keep such a huge secret is beyond my knowledge, but I came across it one eventful holiday when I twisted my ankle and was confined to the bed of the Campus me and my Mom stayed at (she was there on business), and watching Television. I had high hopes of discovering the smallest thing, that was at least known in Japan and areas of America, instead I ended up discovering the cartoon equivelant of the foundations of Atlantis! (in my mind) Being Chinese, there is much I don't know about Lala in the 4 years I've known about her and her friends. Okay recap, things I know and things I believe about Lala What I know I know that she is the young fiesty princess of the Ozma alien race I know that her real name is Salala, having had it changed to Lala after having lost her memory as a side-effect of being woken up from Cryosleep pre-maturely I know that she has a pet, a pink seahorse-like creature with big ears called Buji, who is a boy despite his femenine appearance. I also know that Buji can, despite being small and not showing anything in the way of muscle, pick up and throw objects far larger than himself with no apparent difficulty, I believe this ability is due to energy taken from the stars, and that if Buji were confined in a space with no source of stellar energy, he would lose the ability, that's just a thought though. Her hair is an interesting feature of her overall appearance, appearing to be of a solid form, alongside the clearly normal-haired Blue Cat and his friend Fei Fei Fox, her eyes are also a distinguishing feature, having no clear pupils as well as lighter green "whites." Despite the appearance of her hair, she is capable of styling it through instantanious transformations. Lala's skin is pink, though this is more clearly shown in the manga that I bought back then in China, however many other pictures I have seen show her skin as pink. Both Lala and Blue Cat hold mystical crystals, which allow them to control energy and release it, as well as many other abilities such as telekinesis, as it is seen protecting Blue Cat from a spanner thrown at him by Buji, I have also seen Blue Cat using it as a shield. The crystal appears to at first have a mind of its own, as Blue Cat uses it unconciously, but according to videos I have seen later on they must have gained control over them, maybe Lala had control from the very beginning. Things I believe, and have evidence to back it up Her race, the ozmas, are known for only having females with hair, this is shown in the fact that first, during their adventures, Blue Cat and the gang have met bald-headed aliens with rather pronounced pointed ears. At first I believed these similar humanoids were of a different race, before I discovered a certain character [link] as of yet I don't know her name, but she shares the hair feature of Lala, and the pointed ears of the other race. The other point is that of that other race, all the bald ones are male, this could only be expained that only female Ozma can have hair. This is partially disproven in the case of Lala's father, the King of the Ozma, who clearly has purple hair, I find this intruging, it suggests that male Ozma grow hair during pubity. Lala's "hair" also affects her voice, making it clear and amplified, this is suggested by the amplification of her voice in the cartoon itself, an effect that in my eyes makes her all the more beautiful. This idea is also reflected in the dinosaur species Parasaurolophus, which features a head-crest which supposedly worked as an amplifier, this is what suggests her hair to be resposible. I also believe it is vibrations of her voice-box that cause her hair to light up, explaining that she is commonly seen glowing in the Blue Cat series, however it is suggested that this ability can be turned off, due to her talking without glowing. Lala's hands have 3 fingers, this feature is shown in most of the Blue Cat characters, they have rather chubby hands with no little finger, a fact I find interesting because as far as I know the little finger is probably the least useful part of the human body entirely. This isn't known, as Lala wears very distinct finger-less gloves, but considering her anatomy being very similar to Blue Cat's, a believe it is a likely feature. I also personally like the feature because it sets her appart from a human. (a human character is featured in the Space series of Blue Cat, who I believe is also the real life "first Chinese man to go to space," his body is clearly identical to that of a real human, therefore humans in Blue Cat cannot possibly only have 3 fingers.) She has the natural ability to sense danger and how to escape from it, this was shown in one of the episodes I saw on the holiday in China, when Lala, Blue Cat and Fatty (the yellow mouse character) are exploring a volcanic planet, the volcano is about to erupt, Blue and Fatty are clearly oblivious, while Lala is clearly very concerned. Before the eruption happens, Lala closes her eyes and a "radar effect" is shown eminating from Lala's head, I don't know for sure if this is to sense the eruption, but under consideration I believe it to be so. After the eruption happens, she uses it again and spies a hole in the side of a nearby volcano, where they could hide from the molten lava. Yeeeah long description, shows how Lala is such a wonder to me, I want to find someone who speaks english fluently who can tell me everything about her, including whether my theories are correct or not. I had a video of the volcano scene, but due to Firefox updating, I lost it! DX I must find it again!!! I really should scan the entire manga, though I don't have a scanner, it would probably make my search easier. Follow the link in the picture of the Ozma with hair and ears to see Lala's royal parents, as well as her home planet and the mysterious "bald male Ozma" I also believe that Lala and all Ozma are able to raise and lower their voices to pitches higher/lower than humans are able to hear, this ability is used as a make-shift "telepathy" past humans, and also make Ozma naturally skilled singers. I don't have any proof to back this up, and its mostly just my imagination. There he goes. One of gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even consider for mass production. Too weird to live, and to rare to die.
